Building Design Systems & Slide Decks with AI
A repeatable workflow for branded outputs, efficient prompting, and tokens that don't run away from you.
Building Design Systems & Slide Decks with AI is a practical, small-group training course held in person at Network Hub, 300 Kensal Road, London W10 5BE, led by Gerald Clark and Fola Yahaya of SA Training (Strategic Agenda). The course runs as a 4-hour session with a maximum of 10 participants and is designed for Communications, design, and strategy teams who are already using AI assistants and now want to professionalise the workflow..
A half-day, hands-on workshop for teams already using AI assistants who want a workflow they can trust. We use a real failure — EY's withdrawn Canadian study, found to contain fake footnotes — as a way into how to make AI work reliably for branded outputs. Participants leave with four artefacts: a one-page design system, a storylining outline, a hallucination checklist, and token-management rules of thumb.
What will I leave with?
What will I learn?
- Define a lightweight design system (colours, typography, layout rules, components) in a form an AI assistant can apply consistently.
- Generate a structured slide deck from an outline using the storylining principle of story-first, slides-second.
- Run an export-and-finesse loop: get to 80% with AI, polish the last 20% by hand.
- Manage tokens efficiently: know what wastes them, what reuses well, and when to start fresh.
- Recognise failure modes — hallucinated citations, vibed facts, drifting style — and apply a checklist to catch them before they ship.
